Bookstores around the world await the arrival of Benedict XVI’s new book. It will be the second volume of 'Jesus of Nazareth', which will address the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. So far, only the translators and the director of the Vatican’s publishing house have been able to read it.
It is hoped that this second volume will exceed previous sales of 2.5 million copies worldwide. Italy, Germany and the United States topped the list of countries with the most books sold.
It could therefore be a book to break records and become a Benedict XVI bestseller. Perhaps even more than readership of the catechesis which each year sells about three million copies.
