New Year's Resolution for Jesus

This year, rather than doing something for yourself that you will give up or change, try this. Do something for Jesus. I mean, really give Him something that you want to change or seek a new approach at growing in your relationship with Him.

Perhaps try going once a week to Adoration or go to daily Mass, or perhaps go to confession more regularly (at least once a month), or spend an hour each day in prayer to be open and to be led by Him.

There are so many ways we can grow... but we die if we are not united to Him like a branch on the vine and allow Him to live deeper within our soul.

May this new year give you a new and fresh look at your relationship with God. May it be a real and deep one that lasts not just a year but for all eternity.

Good idea! Unfortunately one I've made several times--but will keep making until I get it right.

Your suggestion is so good. My New Year's resolution is to make a 9 month novena of rosaries for our country, that the pro-death forces at work will be converted to Jesus. I don't know if this fits with doing something for Jesus, but I really feel strongly called to do this. It would be wonderful to have millions of Americans doing this quietly and faithfully. Truly, I believe Our Lady will obtain the graces necessary from Jesus who can refuse her nothing. Imagine what our country would be like of followers of Jesus were in charge.

Thanks for your kind comments. I think your resolution is a great one as much pray is needed in the fight agaist abortion. We are praying a lot in our country that abortion is not legalised. Happy New Year and may God continue to bless you.
